Sue Reed

Director of Adult Discipleship

My family

Bob and I have been married 27+ years and have 4 amazing young adult children, a great son-in-law, 2 beautiful daughter-in-laws, and 2 wonderful grand daughters all of whom are the light of our lives.

My story

I grew up in a Christian home in western Pennsylvania. At 5 years old I trusted Jesus as my Savior after hearing in Sunday school what He did for me. Church was always a priority in my family. During my teen years I was involved in the youth ministry where I had opportunities to grow in leadership and use my musical gifts. I felt called to full time ministry my senior year in High School. At Philadelphia College of Bible, I met Bob and we married in 1992. We moved to Texas and began our ministry together. I stayed home to raise our 4 children for 15 years while leading women’s Bible studies and discipling women. After a season of pain from ministry, God took me through a season of healing and revelation which has led me to greater freedom! My passion now is to see women experience healing and freedom also through embracing the Gospel more deeply. After serving the church in women’s ministry for 20+ years, I came on staff at Riverside Church as the Women’s Discipleship Director before coming to CyLife Church.

FAVORITE VERSE

Phil. 3:7-9 “But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.”
