Parent Frequently Asked Questions

It's my child's first time attending CyLife Kids. How will they know where to go/what to do?

Look for the KIDS area check-in lobby where you’ll be greeted by volunteers eager to meet your family. Our team will have you complete a guest registration card as well as complete the check-in process with you. Please take this time to let us know if your child has any allergies or special requirements.

Will my child feel safe?

In our commitment to safety, all our staff and volunteers have passed an interview and background check, along with child safety course.

How does check-in work?

Upon check-in, you’ll receive matching identification stickers and your child will need to wear the name tag. After attending service, you’ll show the CyLife Kids leader (in your child’s room) your matching tag in order for your child to be released from his/her room. Children will not be released to anyone not possessing the correct pick-up tag nor to a minor. If you lose a tag, we will ask for your driver’s license to verify identity.

My Child is attending a service with a friend/family member who is in a different age group. Can they attend together in the same venue?

Our curriculum is adapted to best fit the age group being taught. Therefore, we encourage children to attend the service in their appropriate age room. However, we want all children to enjoy their experience in CyLife Kids. If a child is uncomfortable attending alone and wishes to attend the service with their friend, find one of our staff team members and we will see what we can do to make it a great experience for their first visit.

Are there any tools provided by CyLife Kids to help parents connect with what their children are learning in church?

Our goal is to engage not only the kids, but your whole family! We want to partner with and equip you, the parent, to be the primary disciple maker of your children. When you pick-up your child, you will receive a Parent Cue card, which contains monthly information such as a memory verse, Bible stories, blog post, and things to do throughout the week to help them learn more and grow closer to God.

As a parent, can I be my child's classroom teacher?

Many parents are involved with their children in CyLife Kids, and our team is always excited to welcome new volunteers who love pouring into the lives of their children. If you would like to become more involved, learn more about becoming a CyLife Kids volunteer by completing the form below!
