My family
Just me!
My story
I grew up in the church with my family in the Spanish Pentecostal denomination. Growing up I’ve always heard about Jesus but never understood the signifigance of the Cross. I’ve always struggled with people pleasing. Trying to get others to like me even if it meant changing everything about me. It got to a point where I didn’t even know who I really was.
It wasn’t until a Summer Camp going into 6th Grade where everyhting started to make sense. I was introduced to Apologetics which made everything click for my intellectual mind. I gave my life to Christ during a time of worship in the Summer of 2016.
After giving my life to Christ I was ready to reach everyone but was struggling. There was one thing I missed. Community! My Spirit and Flesh were in a constant battle because I felt like I was doing things I didn’t want to do(Romans 7:15). It wasn’t until high school where I got to give Jesus my All. I made my people at Church my main community and it changed everything for me. I was able to talk to those in my classroom and even present my faith through class presentations.
When deciding what to do for college it was a huge crisis for me. I was set on being an Engineer but never felt peace about it. The more time I spent with Jesus and had conversations with people around me, I realized I was being called into Full Time Vocational Ministry. I started attending Grace School of Theology while doing a dual internship with the Student and Worship Ministry. With more clarity from the Lord, He has shown a Pastoral calling over my life(Ezekiel 3). I decided to commit fully to Student Ministry knowing this is where the Lord had equipped me best. I now get the privilege to work in the same Student Ministry I grew up in through Middle School and High School!
