Just me for now… I’m the youngest of 3 in my immediate family raised by a single mother.

Hi, I’m Candyce — a Jesus-loving, people-connecting, purpose-driven disciple-maker, living sent for His glory.

Many, many moons ago. I grew up in the Southern Baptist Church and accepted Christ at age ten — but it wasn’t until I was around the age of twenty-five that I truly began walking in relationship with Him. For much of my early life, my identity was wrapped in cheerleading, academics, and future goals. I pursued a Biology Pre-Med degree, with dreams of entering the medical field, chasing success and “perfection” the best way I knew how.

But life took some unexpected — BUT necessary — turns. After years of struggling with guilt, shame, and confusion, I walked away from the Church. For six long years, I ran. Yet even in my distance, God never stopped pursuing me. His relentless grace brought me back home, not in one big leap, but through steady, healing steps.

Two of those steps included teaching and acting. 2 fields I never planned or truly desired to enter. But in the classroom, God began healing old wounds, reshaping my heart, and awakening my calling. What started as a “temporary” job became the launchpad for something much bigger. I not only taught students, but I began training other educators — learning to build meaningful relationships and use my voice for greater impact. Acting was the complete SURPRISE, mouth drop turn of event which served as the vehicle to get me to living in New York and having one of the wildest adventures of my life. 

Now, I’m walking fully in my calling: to MAKE and SEND disciples who love and live like Jesus. Whether through education, leadership, the arts, or ministry, I’m passionate about helping people encounter Christ, find their voice & use it and discover who they are in Him.

After a divine plot twist that brought me back to Houston from Brooklyn, I’m living each day on mission — with a heart to serve the Church, love people deeply, and say yes to wherever God leads. He continues to whisper,

“Candyce, there are people who need to meet you — who need to meet Me.”

Doing my nails, decorating, shopping/thrifting, finding cute Boba Tea places, dancing (learning line dances)

Going on long prayer walks around bodies of water and anything that includes dancing & aerobics
